What makes up the Hindu Religion
Hinduism, or Sanatana Dharma, was developed in India. Hinduism collectively describes several Indian philosophical and religious imposts indigenous to India, including: Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism. The exact origin of Hinduism has yet to be confirmed. Indian tradition suggests that the Vedas were first heard around 8000 BCE then carried orally from coevals to generation, then written down in 1500 BCE. Aside from the aforementioned scriptures, epics are also studied. Ramayana deals with the eternal tackle of good and evil in ones life, and teaches responsibilities to others as defined by their social roles, or castes. Mahabharata is a Sanskit poesy that consists of over 100,000 versus. The plot tells of the struggle for control of a dry land by the sons of the royal family. This story shows all sides of human nature, including: greed, lust, intrigue, and the require for power. The one primary ethic is the happiness of others is essential to ones own happiness.
